Clinical Director, Doctor of Physical Therapy


In December 2023, Warren 'Van" Bush PT DPT relocated his office to the ATI Physical Therapy, Arlington, TX Green Oaks Blvd facility.  At this facility, he will continue in the role of Clinical Director.  In addition, he will work to increase the work conditioning program for the south DFW area.  Occasionally, he will work from the Grand Prairie, TX location, performing Functional Capacity Evaluations.

                                                                   

                                                                    In 2021,  Warren 'Van' Bush PT DPT made the decision to join ATI Physical Therapy.  "Under the new leadership, the                                                                                  philosophies of our companies are very similar and this made the decision easy," per W Van Bush PT DPT.  This closed his                                                                        previous private practice location in Benbrook, TX.


                                                                   Van holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hardin Simmons University.  Van graduated from Texas A & M                                                                                             University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science in 1985.  He received his Bachelor of Science  Degree                                                                       in Physical  Therapy from Texas Tech University in 1988.


                                                                    After practicing in the San Antonio area, Van moved to Fort worth.  Van has held positions as a corporate clinical director                                                                        and in 1995 opened Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy along with Jeff Cooper PT.   In 2014, Van became the sole owner of                                                                        Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy.   Van made the decision to close Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy in March 2021.                                                                   

                                                                    Van's primary emphasis is on the  treatment of orthopedic spine rehabilitation.  His education has continued to focus in                                                                          the treatment of back and neck  injuries.  Van has completed the Impairment Rating - Technical component course as                                                                              required by  the TWCC guidelines.

                                                                           

                                                                    Van currently holds Clinical Instructor Certification and is a site instructor for students from many universities in the US.                                                                        He has also been a clinical instructor for a PT Intern from the Medicine Academia, Bad Kreuznach, Germany.  Since 2009,                                                                        Van has been a member of the Advisory Board for UT Southwestern Allied Health Sciences Physical Therapy Program.                                                                              Van has also participated with the Advisory Board for the Physical Therapists Assistant program at Tarrant County                                                                                    College since December 2009.  Van is an adjunct professor and teaches functional Anatomy with the TCC PTA rogram.                                                                              Van is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, both Orthopedic Section and Private Practice Section.


                                                                    Outside of this professional career and goals, Van is married to his best friend, Natalie.  They have three adult children                                                                            and  Van is a grandfather of four.  Van is active in his church, and is a deacon.  Their family is involved with in children,                                                                              youth, and college ministries.  Van is a golfer and part time cattle rancher.
